Roasted almonds with Sukrin
Roasted almonds are an absolute Christmas must - surprise your friends and family with these healthier, homemade ones. Perfect Christmas candy!
Spread the almonds on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and roast in the oven at 200 degrees Celsius for 10 minutes.
Place Sukrin Gold and the water in a heavy-bottomed saucepan or frying pan, bring to a boil, then add in the almonds. Leave to simmer at medium heat until the liquid has thickened and turned brown, and the almonds have turned darker in colour.
Add the butter and leave to simmer for another few minutes, until the mixture turns golden brown and glossy. Fish the almonds out of your dish and place on a greased baking sheet. Separate the roasted almonds using two forks before they cool completely.
